Irish Ferries Pets InformationThe Irish Department of Agriculture has approved the Irish Ferries’ Rosslare to Cherbourg route for participation in the Pet Passport Scheme. This does however, only apply to pet dogs and cats travelling to qualifying countries from Ireland.
Mandatory Documents (Note: The following papers are mandatory for non-British citizens travelling to the United Kingdom with a pet, and for British citizens returning home with their pet. You must present original documents. Photocopies are not accepted).
A certificate or PET passport from your Vet certifying the innoculation of your pet with the anti-rabies vaccine.
A certificate of treatment for ectoparasites and endoparasites (ticks and tapeworms) issued by your Vet.
Computer identity chip. The animal must have an injected computer id chip fitted by your Vet.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the documents in your possession are valid. If not, Irish Ferries would be obliged to refuse to embark your pet. Irish Ferries cannot be held responsible for an error made by you or your veterinary surgeon that led to a refusal to embark your pet.
